Reservation Dogs is a groundbreaking Hulu Original that stands out for its cultural significance and unique blend of comedy and drama. It follows a group of Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who dream of escaping to California, but life keeps getting in the way. It’s the first TV series to feature an all-Indigenous writer, director, and cast.

Shrill

Hulu’s Shrill, based on Lindy West’s memoir Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman, is a show about a plus-size woman who struggles with life in a world obsessed with unrealistic beauty standards. It also looks at workplace sexism, casual misogyny, and toxic relationships but brings lots of humor to that table a swell. It stars Aidy Bryant from Saturday Night Live, who does an amazing job, as do her costars.

Solar Opposites

If you like animated series, like Rick and Morty and Star Trek: Lower Decks, you are sure to love Solar Opposites, a show about a group of alien refugees from the planet Shlorp who crash-land on Earth and attempt to fit into human society. Unlike other alien shows, these aliens aren’t as worried about concealing their identity and are more concerned with getting right to causing chaos, which is a lot of fun to watch.
