The Disney+ series Agatha All Along was a much-anticipated follow-up to the hugely successful WandaVision that came out in 2021. It centers on the mischievous and enigmatic witch Agatha Harkness, who became a fan favorite after her villainous turn in WandaVision. Its unique mix of dark humor, drama, and MCU lore was well-accepted by fans. It introduced several new characters that we hope to see again, but some, like Lilia Calderu, seemed destined not to return, causing fans to look at all of the clues and easter eggs for signs of hope. Now, it appears that at least one part of the puzzle might be cleared up.

Warning: spoilers

The character Lilia Calderu, portrayed by Patti LuPone, meets a poignant end that has left many fans grieving. However, her power to experience time non-linearly made fans believe it might be possible for her to still be alive at some point in the past, only to find some way to return in the future, especially since she sacrificed herself for the good of the coven.

However, in a recent interview on the Andy Cohen Live! Podcast Patti LuPone let us know that showrunner Jac Shaeffer came into her trailer and said she was just there to tell her that her character was going to die, to which she responded to by saying she was hoping to get a second season.

This statement by Schaeffer seems to clear up any hopes that the character may, in fact, be still alive or that there are any current plans to bring the character back. To make matters worse for fans, Scheaffer responded to LuPone lamenting not having a second season by stating that she doesn’t do second seasons because of the amount of writing involved and that she had already turned down the chance to do a second season of WandaVision.

Fortunately for fans of this story arc, all hope is not lost. While we won’t be seeing a return of the Lilia character or a second season of either WandaVision or Agatha Harkness, there is one show remaining. Vision Quest will pick up where WandaVision and Agatha All Along leave off, bringing back Paul Bettany as Vision as he attempts to regain his memory.

As you likely remember, Vision is now in his White Vision form, and he will likely seek to reconstruct his past. James Spader will reprise his role as Ultron, an essential part of Vision’s past, and Terry Matalas, known for Star Trek: Picard, will act as the showrunner. It s scheduled to arrive in 2026.
