Hulu has some of the best Dramas on any streaming service, but it can be challenging to sort through them all to find the best ones. If this happens to you, keep reading while we list some great options to start with and get the ball rolling.
Feud: Capote vs. The Swans
Feud: Capote vs. The Swans centers on the explosive fallout between iconic author Truman Capote and his elite circle of socialite friends, the “Swans.” It’s set in 1970s New York and is a tell-all about Capote’s betrayal and the betrayal of the people sensationalized by the scandalous excerpts from his unfinished novel.
This show explores the cost of fame through lavish sets, sharp dialogue, and period-accurate glamour and shows how friendship can quickly turn into a rivalry.
Great Expectations
The 2023 Great Expectations miniseries on Hulu is a fresh but darker take on Charles Dickens’s classic novel. Produced by the BBC and Hulu, the series stars Fionn Whitehead as Pip, Olivia Colman as the eccentric and vengeful Miss Havisham, and Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella.

Extraordinary
Extraordinary is a British comedy series on Hulu that flips the superhero genre on its head with a refreshing, quirky twist. Set in a world where everyone over 18 develops a unique superpower, the show follows Jen, a 25-year-old who still hasn’t manifested any powers despite being at the right age, making her feel like an outsider in her own life.
While a comedy, it has plenty of emotion and drama as Jen navigates her insecurities and friendships. It blends clever writing with relatable characters, a unique premise, witty dialogue, and plenty of superhero satire.
Shardlake
The Shardlake series is adapted into a Hulu show based on C.J. Sansom’s bestselling historical mystery novels. It brings to life the story of Matthew Shardlake, a lawyer in Tudor, England, as he investigates a murder at a monastery in the remote town of Scarnsea and uncovers a web of political tension and fear.
It’s a four-part drama that captures what it was like to live in such a treacherous time. It remains true to the novels it’s based on and explores themes of power, loyalty, and the moral dilemmas faced by those caught in Henry VIII’s court.
Once Upon a Time
Once Upon a Time is a popular fantasy drama series that aired from 2011 to 2018 on ABC. It blends classic fairy tales with a modern-day twist and centers on the residents of Storybrooke. In this small town, beloved characters like Snow White, Prince Charming, and the Evil Queen live under a memory-altering curse, unaware of their true identities.
