Fox: Family Guy debuts hugest animated crossover episode ever

It may not have been a major part of the episode but last night’s Family Guy brought all of Fox’s animated series together for a one-time crossover. Find out more about the event in our recap below.

When Season 17, Episode 15 of Family Guy kicks off, it seems like the average episode. Peter is getting into his daily shenanigans and the Griffin family is at home waiting for their drunk patriarch of a father to get home. All seems normal until Peter shifts to one of his classic cutaways.

The cutaway isn’t like any before because there’s a natural shift when it occurs. Peter is discussing a possible Father-Daughter camping trip with Quagmire but begins to drift off due to boredom. He starts thinking of people who would be better suited to accompany Quagmire and his daughter on the trip then rambles on.

Peter starts listing everyone he knows in Rhode Island. He gives shoutouts to Carter Pewtersmicdt, Billy Fin, anyone you can think of. When Peter begins to run out of suggestions, he starts throwing out the names of characters from Fox’s other animated series; with the exception of The Simpsons’ cast. Lois interrupts shortly after and Peter begrudgingly agrees to go with Quagmire.

Outside of the Griffin home, everyone who Peter namedropped is standing together in what can only be described as the single largest ensemble image of Family Guy’s cast—all in one shot. They’re also joined by the entire cast of The Cleveland Show and American Dad. Some ancillary characters are absent from American Dad’s corner but enough are there to make their presence known.
